About Us
Student-Led Change for San Diego
Supporting San Diego is a student-led nonprofit dedicated to addressing resource gaps in local shelters and service providers. We focus on delivering essential supplies such as hygiene products, meals, and clothing to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
San Diego faces a growing homelessness crisis, and many shelters operate with limited resources. Through community fundraising and strategic partnerships, we work to provide direct, tangible support where it is needed most.

About the Founder
Nicole Chaitas
Founder & CEO
Nicole Chaitas is the founder and CEO of Supporting San Diego. As a high school junior with a strong passion for community impact, she recognized the growing issue of homelessness in San Diego and the lack of essential resources available to many local shelters.
After seeing that many shelters were under-supplied and in need of specific items, she created Supporting San Diego to take action. Rather than simply donating funds, the organization focuses on raising money and directly converting those funds into the exact resources shelters need most.
Through community-driven fundraising and partnerships with local organizations, Nicole is committed to making a meaningful and tangible difference in her community.
